Production Scheme
The façade panels are made of fibre cement, which is produced in the Hatschek procedure. The "ingredients" for fibre cement contains of portland cement, tuff, cellulose (process fibres), polyvinyl alcohol fibres (reinforce fibres), microscopic small air spaces and water. These materials are mixed carefully in a stirrer. The cement-bonded particles are filtered through an endless fleece from the water and are transferred to the format roller. The particles are rolled up on the format roller as long as the necessary thickness of the material is reached. The developed wrapping of the format roller with fibre cement is cut open and the raw board is forwarded to the press. The press compact the fibre cement façade panels. The fibre cement façade panels are packed on a stack and wrapped with foil. This way they can naturally harden for 3 weeks (naturally conditioning time of cement). According to the surface treatment the raw panels are becoming the façade panel Natura PRO or Pictura. The Natura PRO panels are provided with a colour glaze which allows the structure of the fibre cement to shine through. The facade panel Pictura will be provided with an opaque colour coating. Afterwards the surface is hardened with UV-light, this procedure makes the surface more resistant against dirt (e.g. Graffiti) and scratches.
